FAQs

♥  What is laser engraving and what does it look like?

Laser engraving is a process that actually removes material (etches or engraves). The darkened portions are NOT painted. This darkening is from the lasering process, which changes the chemical composition of the material, resulting in a permanent marking (unlike paint which just adheres to the surface).

The coloring of laser-engraved materials depends on the material itself and the lighting. At some angles, the engraved areas will look brown/black/dark brown, while at other angles, it’ll look jet black.

Stainless steel: Brown/Black
Copper: Dark Brown/Black
Brass: Black

 

♥ Can I engrave on both sides?

Yes, laser engraving removes material without marring the opposite side (unlike stamping).

 

♥ What are your business hours?

We are officially open for business from 9AM – 5PM EST, Monday – Friday.

We are closed for all major US holidays.

♥ Do you guarantee shipping?

I do NOT guarantee shipping. The shipping times are estimated by USPS. During all communications, I am just relaying these estimates. Once an item is handed over to USPS for shipping, I have no control over the item any longer. The shipping information you have is the same that I have. If you’d like to purchase insurance for peace of mind, please email me through Etsy first so I can put up a listing for you.

Shipping times will increase during the holiday seasons, so please be sure to place orders earlier rather than later.

 

♥ How long does it take for an item to be made and shipped?

I try my best to stay within these estimates, but they are estimates.

Current production time is 3-8 business days.

If your item is light enough, I will ship USPS First Class.

USPS First Class Shipping 3-5 business days
USPS Priority Shipping 1-3 business days

 

♥ Do you accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations?

I do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations, as all of my items are custom orders. That being said, if I have made a mistake, I’ll be more than willing to rectify the issue at no additional cost to you. This does not include lost or damaged items during shipping. If insurance is desired, please send me an email and I will put up a listing for you.
